My Life

My name is Sherri Lupton Hollister, I am forty nine and lucky enough to be married to my own prince (mostly) charming. Together we raised six boys and our reward for not using them for gator bait are the ten (almost eleven) grandchildren.
I have been writing since I was ten years old but I’ve been seriously writing for the past ten years. My husband and my best friend both encouraged me to seek publishing. I won the first Ann Peach scholarship offered by Romantic Times Magazine and attended their Beginning Writing course with the late Judi McCoy in 2009. I then joined RWA and Heart of Carolina Romance Writers (local RWA) and started my own writer’s group, the Word Weavers. I also belong to the Belhaven Writers Read and I am affiliated with the Pamlico Writers Group, both are local writers groups.
I have attended two Romantic Times conferences, the past two Book ’Em North Carolina Writers Events and the first two Pamlico Writers Conferences 2013 and 2014.
I write Aurora town news for a small weekly paper, The Pamlico News.
I have published an article in the Romance Writers Report, the romance writers magazine.
I have an essay, “Advice for New Writers” in the e-book Heart of the Matter published by Heart of Carolina Writers Group.
